Enter a word or phrase to locate. The list below gives examples of searches. The first option returns the most matches, the last option returns the least.

  • Word1,Word2 will return references from all commentary books which have either Word1 or Word2 in them.
  • Word1;Word2 is similar to the comma separated search, but both words must appear somewhere in the book for any matches from it to be shown.
  • Word1#Word2 returns references where Word2 follows Word1 in a particular verse.
  • Everything else is treated as an exact phrase to match.

The commentary is extremely large, and common words can take a while to give results - please be patient:

  • "in the beginning" takes about 52 seconds
  • "daniel" takes about 46 seconds
  • "jonah" takes about 31 seconds
  • "god created" takes about 16 seconds
  • "jezebel" takes about 14 seconds
  • "gnashing" takes about 6 seconds
