To display a selection follow these steps:

  1. Select the desired Bible translations by checking or unchecking the box beside the version's name.
  2. Select the book of the Bible from the scrolled list. The list is in order by Old Testament, New Testament, and Apocrypha.
  3. Select the chapter. This defaults to chapter 1 if no chapter is entered.
  4. Select the verse (or verses) to limit the display to one or more verses from the chapter. To select a range of verses, separate the beginning and ending verse numbers with a hyphen. Multiple verse selections or ranges from a particular chapter can be separated with commas. If no verse is selected, the entire chapter is displayed.
  5. If your browser is HTML 4.0 impaired, try setting the Plain option to eliminate some style sheet options.
  6. Press the display button.

Steps 1 through 5 can be performed in any order.

If a complete chapter is displayed, a link will be displayed at the top and bottom of the resulting page which will allow you to move to the previous or next chapter in the Bible, skipping across book boundaries as needed.

Only the Douay-Rheims and Vulgate versions include the Apocryphal books, and only the Vulgate contains the 151st Psalm or the Pauline Epistle to the Laodecians and Alexandrians.
