The following are some other sites which may be of interest. Many sites are very large and we make no attempt to examine
all of their pages for correct doctrine and content. As with any internet site, check with God before clicking the link the
first time and listen to Him continually as you browse through their web pages for any warnings or admonitions He may give
you about what you find there. Hopefully, He will be pleased with their sites as well, but since sites are continually
changing, we can't guarantee that is the case. If you find questionable material, please let us know so we can review the
inclusion of the site in our list.
- Search Engines
- Google - my favorite search engine. Be sure to use the family filter to screen
objectionable content. They have a pretty good page ranking system, and best of all they cache the pages they index so you
can usually still read them if they have moved or disappeared since the robot visited the site.
- Bible Sites
- Bible Foundation provides a wide range of downloadable electronic texts and links to other
organizations. Most of the Bibles and Reference materials on our site started as ASCII files from this group.
- Dake Publishing is the website of the webservants favorite study Bible.
- Bible Helps in Easy English is a site that provides both the Bible and commentaries using a simplified English
language of about 1,200 words. Any translation will have variations from the original Hebrew/Greek meanings, and I am sure that this is no exception. But it may
prove useful to a young reader or someone for whom English is a second language.
- Focused Christian Sites
- Live Prayer provides an on-line prayer service. Even if you don't need prayer, the daily
devotional is a worthwhile addition to your day.
- Living4Jesus provides some good devotionals and other resources. You'll find
some of our favorite selections from Mr. Brown's devotionals in our short stories section.
- Left Behind: Revelation has been called hard to understand by most. The Left
Behind series presents the Biblical prophecy in a story format, following the lives of those left behind through the
tribulation period. I've been reading the softcover versions, so am only up through Apocalypse, but the portrayal of the
Biblical prophecy seems correct so far. Obviously, the characters themselves are fictional - but it is a great presentation
of the prophecy elements. Also see the Tim LaHaye and Jerry
Jenkins websites - the authors of the series.
- General Purpose Christian Sites
- Church Angel provides listings of churches.
- Net Ministries provides listings of churches and other useful information.
- Upon This Rock provides listings of resources and churches.
-
